Welcome to Forest Grove Elementary School!
My name is Ceri Brophy, and I have the privilege of being the proud Principal of Forest Grove Elementary.
Our school aims to be a welcoming connection point. We strive to create a caring and engaging learning community that is safe for all. The partnership of families, students, staff and community members make us who we are.
Forest Grove is part of a unique community in North East Burnaby. Our school is situated in a beautiful forest at the base of Burnaby Mountain. We partner with a variety of community services including a school-based daycare, Burnaby Parks and Recreation facility, aFamily Strong Start Centre, and community groups.
We have a diverse student population of approximately 350 students in Kindergarten through Grade 7, who bring a wide variety of strengths and stretches. We are also home to Burnaby Schools only District Mandarin Language Development Program. The Forest Grove staff collaborates openly to work to meet the needs of all the students we serve.
Our Parent Advisory Council, led by our tireless Executive Council, has a significant role in all aspects of school life at Forest Grove. Did you know that all families are considered members of our PAC? You are all welcome to attend our meetings. I look forward to seeing you there…and around our school.
